FIELD: mechanical engineering; small size internal combustion engines for lawn movers, mopeds, petrol saws. SUBSTANCE: unit has open cellular cloth woven or tied from heat-resistant metal wire and forming packing of preset shape with many adjoining metal cloth layers, and housing enclosing the packing and forming through gas channels. At least half of metal cloth packing layers has metal wire cloth with corrugations passing along two rows of lines and forming preset angle α with longitudinal axis of cloth. Corrugations passing along above-indicated lines meet approximately in center of cloth forming angle β. Corrugated metal wire cloth is located in packing to that apex of the angle β is sharpened in direction across direction of through channels. EFFECT: improved cleaning of exhaust gases. 5 cl, 5 dwg
