FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves exposing the region of animal immunocompetent organ to ultrasonic radiation of 0.05 W/cm2 intensity. The animal is killed a predefined interval of time later. The immunocompetent organ mass and the number of antibody-forming cells in it is determined. Estimation value is calculated. The animal immunocompetent organ is exposed to ultrasonic radiation with single 1-2.5 min exposure time during 5-6 procedures each third-fourth day. The prescribed number of procedures being carried out, the animal is immunized with sheep erythrocytes. After killing the animal, circulating blood immune complex level is additionally determined. Being the value to be evaluated, immunomodulation index is calculated as product of antibody-forming cells content in spleen (in cells per Petri dish) and circulating blood immune complex level (in relative units) divided by spleen mass (in mg). The magnitude of immunomodulation index being greater than 20.4, ultrasonic action is evaluated as immunomodulating one. EFFECT: enhanced information content and visual demonstration capability.
