FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves exposing rats to direct solar radiation action. Irradiation is carried out at a dose of 56-98 mW/cm2 under single 1 h long exposure time daily during 24 days. The animals are immunized with sheep erythrocytes at the nineteenth day from the experiment beginning. The animals are killed at the twenty fourth day and cellular thymus index, availability of antibodies-generating cells in the spleen and lysozyme activity in addition are determined in blood serum. Immunity is evaluated by calculating immunomodulation index equal to product of antibodies-generating cells quantity in the spleen and lysozyme activity in blood serum divided by cellular thymus index. Immunomodulation index being greater than 11.0, immunomodulation action of solar radiation is determined to take place. EFFECT: increased information capacity of the method. 1 tbl
