FIELD: biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: method consists in that strain- producers of nucleosides and nucleotides of Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens species are cultured in a completely deuterated medium. As such a medium, utilized are hydrolyzates of, grown on deutero-water and deutero-methanol, biomass of methylotrophic bacteria Brevibacterium methylicum or hydrolyzates of biomass of strain-producers of nucleoside obtained after separation of target product. To prepare D-labeled inosine, strain of Bacillus subtilis species is utilized, and to prepare D-labeled thymidine, strain of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens species. Method enables preparing high- deuterated (62.5% D) nucleosides. Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens species are able to produce and secrete inosine and thymidine into fermentation medium. Method simplifies deuterium- labeled nucleoside preparation procedure reducing it to single fermentation stage and makes preparing final products environmentally more safe because of excluding a series of reactions involving harmful substances and radioactive isotopes. EFFECT: simplified process.
