FIELD: chemistry; biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and is a method of producing purine nucleosides using a bacterium belonging to the Bacillus genus, containing a fragment of DNA which codes mutant bacterial phosphoribosyl pyrophosphate synthetase, in which the L-amino acid residue which corresponds to position 120, 135 or 194 in the wild type phosphoribosyl pyrophosphate synthetase sequence from Bacillus subtilis is substituted with a residue of another L-amino acid, and sensitivity of the said enzyme to inhibiting purine nucleotides on the type of feedback is low.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain highly effective purine nucleosides.
