FIELD: means of blasting of commercial explosives with employment of optical aids of initiation, applicable in various branches of industry using explosives. SUBSTANCE: the method involves wiring of an explosive circuit including a laser, charges and an initiating section in the form of optical fibre transmitting an initiating impulse from the laser output along the longitudinal axis of optical fibre for detonation of charges to be blasted by means of transmitted optical energy; the laser is positioned in the area of command execution (spark-proof design) and connected to starting device by means of a section for laser pumping; borehole or optical fibre cable is used as the above section; intermediate lasers with pyrotechnical pumping are placed in optical fibre cable and/or optical fibre for amplifying the optical signal.
