FIELD: medicine; oncology; diagnostication for evaluating effect of medicamentous therapy or ionizing radiation during treatment of oncological cases. SUBSTANCE: prior to proceeding to treatment course, during and after treatment, oncological patient is subjected to irradiation by low-intensity radiation source, radiation being directed onto intact body area and onto tumor at wavelength 0.3-10.6 mcm and at average power 2-10 W. Next diagnostician must determine extent of growth taking place in tumor and in intact body area under effect of irradiation, and, as a function of variations of growth fraction of tumor and of growth variation rate, tumor reaction to treatment is evaluated.
