METHOD FOR HIDDEN LABELING OF MATERIAL OBJECTS FOR THEFT PROTECTION Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: information recognition and displaying. SUBSTANCE: method involves application of labels to object by means of label carrier which is designed as tag with individual label as signs which is attached to object surface by means of glue. First claim of invention describes method which involves preliminary generation of individual labels by digital or alphanumeric perforation, attaching tag to object surface, application of layer of transparent paint towards external surface of tag, removal of tag so that object is equipped with individual label which is invisible in day light but is red in ultraviolet light. Another claim of invention describes method which involves application of second label with same individual sign which is equipped with additional warning label about presence of hidden label, attaching it to another surface of same object, application of transparent paint to external surface of second tag and keeping this tag visible on object. In case second tag is removed, object still carries individual label which is applied through this tag, is invisible in day light but is also read in ultraviolet light.
