FIELD: locking hardware. SUBSTANCE: lock has key. Key code is marked on its working part in the form of coordinates of coding surface and/or coordinates of positioning of poles of permanent magnets. Key code is equivalent to lock code made in the form of coding grooves and is equal to coordinates of crossing of axial lines of slots and beginnings of axial lines of connecting sections. Lock mechanism has body which accommodates switch for lock mechanism operation modes. Movably installed in body are control shells which are kinematically connected to each other and can be kinematically linked with key. Control shells are provided with member for connection with operating device. Coding grooves are made up of slots and connecting sections. Control shells interact with coding grooves through pins secured on them, spring-loaded rods which are installed in holder passages for possible straightline displacement and interaction with working part of key by means of feelers installed on them or permanent magnets. Holder is made up of shaped strips with shaped washers installed between them. Made in central holes of washers are protrusions which by their configuration correspond to longitudinal slots made in working part of key. Working part of key also has lateral grooves and their positioning, width and depth correspond to positioning and thickness of washers and length of protrusions.
