FIELD: lighting facilities. SUBSTANCE: lighting unit has a gaseous-discharge lamp, transistorized inverter, whose input is connected to the leads used to connect the DC power supply, the first output lead is connected to a series-connected choke, first filament electrode of the lamp, capacitor and second filament electrode of the lamp, current transformer, time relay whose input is connected to the leads used to connect the DC power supply. The current transformer has n cores, n primary windings, two secondary windings and a control winding. The control winding is connected to the time relay, the first leads of the secondary windings are connected to the bases, and the second ones - to the emitters of the respective inverter transistors. The transformer primary windings are interconnected in series, the first primary winding of the transformer is connected to the output lead of the transistorized inverter, the nth primary winding is connected to the vacant lead of the second filament electrode of the lamp. The number of turns of each previous primary winding exceeds the number of turns of each subsequent primary winding. The first primary winding of the current transformer is arranged on the first core, the nth primary winding is arranged on the nth core. The control winding is arranged on the second...n-th cores, and the secondary windings are arranged on put together first, second...n-th cores.
