FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has gas-discharge lamp, transistor inverter, feedback transformer, starter. Input of transistor inverter is connected to terminals for connection of direct current power supply. First output terminal is connected to serial circuit of ballast choke and first electrode of first cathode. Second output terminal is connected to first electrode of second cathode. First terminals of secondary windings of feedback transformer are connected to bases and second terminals to emitters of corresponding transistors of inverter. Second electrode of first cathode is connected to serial circuit of primary winding of feedback transformer, capacitor and first electrode of second cathode of lamp. Started is inserted between connection point of primary winding of transformer and capacitor and second electrode of second cathode of lamp. EFFECT: simplified design, increased service life of lamp, increased stability of lamp excitation, increased stability of lamp current. 1 dwg
