FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has tubular hollow casing 1 designed as one-piece spring with holes 10 for ropes 6 on each coil. Cylindrical bushing 4 with holes 5 for ropes 6 and hollow handle 3 are rigidly fixed on the opposite ends of the spring. Flexible shaft 7 having cutting member 8 like mill on one end and adapter 20 for making connection to driving mechanism are mounted inside casing 1. The driving mechanism is inside hollow handle 3 having block 2 for controlling operation of ropes 6 passed through cylindrical bushing 4, and holes in coils of hollow spring-shaped casing 1. Free ends of the ropes pass through the tension system and fastening members 11 in control unit 2. Using adjustment bushings 19 results in bending tubular hollow casing 1 with cutting member 8 and in increasing diameter of sphere to be treated. Tubular hollow casing 1 designed as one-piece spring allows its stiffness to be controlled.
