FIELD: manufacturing of refractory materials, particularly, manufacturing of steel-pouring articles like casing and protective tubes. SUBSTANCE: high concentrated suspensions of quartz glass having density 1.89-1.93 g/cm3 is used for molding. Suspensions comprise, mass %: particles sized 63-400 mcm, 12-20; particles less than 5 mcm in size, 25-40; particles sized 5-63 mcm, the balance. Highly dispersed quartz sand is fed into shallowing charge, its quantity being 8-12 % as calculated for dry material. At its initial stage circular rate of rotation of mold during centrifugal molding is 2-2.5 m/s, at final stage circular rate being increased to 6-8 m/s. Quantity of suspension being fed into mold is by 20-30 % higher than molded article mass (as calculated for dry material). EFFECT: decreased duration of wet grinding; decreased porosity of articles; increased chemical stability of articles; improved structure of desired articles. 3 cl
