FIELD: refractories industry, more particularly manufacture of products for continuous pouring of steels. SUBSTANCE: high-alumina binding suspension is prepared by introducing into high- alumina composition (based on high-alumina chamotte, mullite or bauxite containing 60-93% of Al2O3) of additive of highly dispersive quartz glass in amount of 5-30%. High-alumina binding composition has increased polydispersity and lower viscosity at equal concentration. EFFECT: reduced porosity of the ingot and lower thermal expansion coefficient of material based on high-alumina binding suspension. 1 tbl
