METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF CHLOROLIGNIN Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

Abstract RU 2109849 C1

FIELD: electrochemical production processes; may be used in chemical industry and medicine. SUBSTANCE: chlorolignin is produced at elevated pressures of gaseous substances. Electrolysis is conducted in titanium autoclave with platinum anode at temperature of 80 C. Hydrogen and chlorine formed in electrolysis build up pressure in autoclave. Method of electrochemical chlorination of lignin is carried out at elevated temperature with content of chlorine in product rising up to 42%, and reduced power consumption. EFFECT: increased content of chlorine in product and intensification of process.
