FIELD: pulp-and-paper industry. SUBSTANCE: chromatographic separation of sulfite cooking liquor in a system of chromatographic simulated mobile beds is performed by passing liquid stream through a system comprising at least two chromatographic sectional beds of charge material. At least one fraction enriched by monosaccharides and at least one fraction enriched by lignosulfonates are isolated by way of multistep sequence including following phases: feeding sulfite cooking liquor, elution, and recycle phase. Liquid being in sectional beds of charge material in the form of a dry powdered material is directed into recycle phase in one or several circuits each including one or several sectional beds of charge material.
