FIELD: leather industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacturing leather from fowl legs, e.g. chicken, goose, and duck legs. Method enables improving structure of leather tissue and therefrom improving its consumer Тs properties. Substance of method consists in that soak procedure is conducted at 20-25 C for 3- 6 h, multiple fleshing is performed on the inner side of skin, washing is carried out at 20-25 C, degreasing at 30 C, consequent washings at 30-35 C, pickling at 25 C for 4-6 h, and preliminary tanning at 30 C. Drying is followed by press straightening on the inner side and degreasing. Further, press straightening is repeated and, after following drying, is performed once more. EFFECT: optimized process parameters and improved leather quality.
