METHOD TO DETECT PIPELINE FLAWS AND UNAUTHORISED TAP-INS INTO PIPELINE AND DEVICE FOR ITS REALISATION Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC F17D5/02

Abstract RU 2572907 C2

FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of pipeline transport. The substance of the method to detect pipeline flaws and unauthorised tap-ins into the pipeline consists in measurement of a magnetic induction vector above a pipeline with simultaneous movement of a sensor along the pipeline. An area with a flaw is detected, besides they measure only a vertical component of a magnetic induction vector, measurements are carried out continuously in process of sensor movement. At the same time they measure gradient of the vertical vector of magnetic induction, and recording of the read magnetogram is carried out in accordance with measurement of coordinates received from a built-in global positioning module, into a solid-state memory. The device comprises a body with an electronic unit and an antenna and a sensor. At the same time a circuit is introduced from two induction sensors, placed on a single axis, separated in space and included into a differentially bridged circuit with electronic balancing by a program-controlled resistor. A signal from the outlet of the antenna via an instrumental amplifier and a bidirectional interface arrives to a controller's inlet, to the other inlet of which a signal arrives from the antenna and the GPS-Glonass module. From the controller outlet the signal arrives simultaneously to an indication unit and a solid-state memory unit, the second control outlet of the controller via the bidirectional interface arrives to the control inlet of the program-controlled resistor.

EFFECT: increased noise immunity and validity.
