FIELD: toolmaking, applicable for manufacture of dies for hot and cold moulding of high-speed steels. SUBSTANCE: metal is superheated by 50 to 120 C above temperature and cast in the pressure chamber. Metal pressed in the mould is preliminarily compressed at a pressure of 100 to 200 MPa and seasoned until a skin of crystallized metal is formed. The position of the moulding plunger is fixed. Then the moulding plunger is introduced in the reserve container of molten metal beyond the casting. The rate of introduction of the moulding plunger equals or exceeds the rate of metal crystallization. The tool stability increased by 1.2 to 1.5 times. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 3 cl, 1 dwg
