FIELD: rolling; equipment for storage and transportation of metal coiled strip. SUBSTANCE: mechanized storage has parallel multiple-tier sections 1 installed at both sides of guides 2. Longitudinal axes of sections 1 are square to guides 2 on which lifting-and-transportation mechanism 3 mounted. Beam 4 with supports 5 for coils 6 is installed on section 1 for longitudinal travel. Beam 4 resting on rollers 7 is coupled with drive 8 consisting of electric motor, reduction gear and rack-and-pinion transmission. Axles of sections 1 located at different sides of guides 2 are displaced relative to each other in cross direction through value not smaller than width of beam 4. Rollers 10 to support free end of beam 4 are installed opposite to each beam 4 on opposite section 1. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 3 dwg
