FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: metering gate has hermetically sealed casing, branch pipe connected with casing, two rotary jaws fixed on shafts inserted through hermetically sealed openings made in gate side walls. Shafts rest upon roller bearings. Two similar gears mounted on shafts are engaged one with another and driven by gate drive for rotation. Discharge opening of branch pipe is made in the form of polygon defined by two isosceles trapeziums allowing optimum passage of burden at any intermediate position of jaws and, consequently, improved conditions for material feeding. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 3 dwg
