FIELD: production of roasted bulk material, cement clinker for example. SUBSTANCE: plant includes rotary kiln for roasting the bulk material and preliminary cooling device mounted in it; preliminary cooling is effected by blowing-in water steam and loading the fuel on bulk material to be cooled; plant includes also final cooling device. Preliminary cooling device has form of reactor made integral with rotary kiln and equipped with facilities for blowing-in water steam and loading fuel on bulk material to be cooled. Plant is used for production of roasted bulk material at simultaneous increased amount of heat recuperated for furnace. EFFECT: increased amount of heat recuperated for kiln. 5 cl, 3 dwg
