FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: supporting unit has base mounted on three lengthwise adjustable supporting assemblies provided with bedplates. One of assemblies is made in the form of articulated-linkage balancing mechanism that has at least one beam each of whose arms carries thrust bearing with taper seat receiving ball contacting supporting surface of base. Remaining supporting assemblies are made in the form of jacks with worm-and-screw carries transmission mounted on bedplates. Screw of each jack mounts bottom thrust bearing with taper seat receiving ball contacting respective top thrust bearing mounted on base. Top thrust bearing on one of supporting assemblies is made in the form of fulcrum whose longitudinal axis is located in vertical plane crossing centers of balls of supporting assemblies. Top thrust bearing of other supporting assembly is made in the form of taper seat. EFFECT: improved precision of positioning equipment in horizontal plane. 3 cl, 5 dwg
