WIRE END TWISTING Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering; binding of bars by wire. SUBSTANCE: tong grips of wire end twisting head are fitted on end of hollow drive spindle. Grips are coupled with control rod passed through spindle and are furnished with replaceable bushings to take in ends of binding wire. Bushings are installed in sockets for turning relative to longitudinal axis. Receiving portion of bushings is made in form of bell with rounded off edges and is displaced from normal to axis of rotation of grips through 45 degrees towards ends of wire. EFFECT: simplified design, provision of required tension of wire. 2 cl, 1 dwg
