FIELD: study and analysis of materials by radiation methods by measurement of ionizing radiation of specimens. SUBSTANCE: according to procedure of radiation monitoring specimens are taken from sampling areas in forest zones, from open and town territories in angles of sampling area and in its center. Selected specimens are integrated and mixed up. Specimens are taken in spring and autumn within 0.2 h. Specimen for radiometric analysis is prepared in the course of 1.2 h. Two parallel specimens and their duplicate are prepared for analysis and stored for one year. Top-soil in point of sampling is removed with the aid of shears. Specimens with 10 x 10 cm size and depth of 5 cm are taken in five points on edges and in center from surface with monolithic layer. Specimens are integrated, cleared of roots and packed in dense paper. Package is marked with indication of date, address, dimension of area from which specimen is taken and transported to laboratory. Procedure makes it feasible to present radiation situation in territory authentically thanks to representative arrangement of specimen taking, to raise authenticity and reliability of measurements. EFFECT: raised authenticity and reliability of measurements taken in agreement with procedure. 1 cl
