FIELD: medical engineering; physiotherapy; ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: device has electromagnetic radiation source and optical commutator, as well as collimator, light filter and diffraction grating positioned in succession between electromagnetic radiation source and optical commutator. Device also includes data input unit, control unit, dosing facility for integral radiation flux and series-connected unit which forms circular polychromatic field, and mask unit. Control unit inputs are connected to outputs of data input unit and dosing facility for integral radiation flux, and its outputs are connected to dosing facility input and to optical commutator input. Optical commutator output is connected to input of unit which forms circular polychromatic field. Optical commutator is of array type, multichannel, capable of obtaining continuous electromagnetic radiation modulated in brightness and controllable in wavelength and spectrum width for alternate and/or simultaneous, individual and/or group selective electromagnetic irradiation. In addition, optical commutator includes controlled system of array mirrors provided with electric drives and unit of slit diaphragms, as well as unit of radiation flux modulation and switching with electric drive. Optical input of array mirror system serves as optical commutator input, and its outputs are multichannel and/or single-channel optical outputs of radiation flux modulation and switching unit. Diffraction array is made reflecting with variable period and angle of luster. Optical commutator is based on single acoustic-optical switches mounted on waveguide plate according to technology of manufacture of superlarge integrated circuits. Programmed variation of wavelength and spectrum width of radiation with wide control range of optical radiation flux intensity, as well as provision for simultaneous getting of several irradiation fields with different monochromatic and polychromatic fluxes of optical radiation allows considerable extension of given device field of application for effective action on biological objects with electromagnetic radiation of optical range. EFFECT: enhanced action on biological objects. 4 cl, 4 dwg
