FIELD: experimental hydrodynamics of engineering structures; devices for testing drilling platform models in model testing basin. SUBSTANCE: device is provided with towing trolley with frame rigidly secured on it; frame is provided with rod; lateral stiffness of rod is variable in height. Dynamometer provided with force and moment sensors is used for linkage of rod with model being towed. Frame holds additionally two rods fitted with dynamometers and bars. Sea bottom simulator is made in form of flat plate suspended from frame through dynamometers. Gap between plate and model may be changed by means of bars mounted symmetrically relative to longitudinal axis of device at some distance relative to each other. One bar is rigidly connected with dynamometer provided with longitudinal and vertical force sensors and second bar is articulated to dynamometer fitted with vertical force sensor. Opposite ends of bars are articulated to bottom simulator. Bars are provided with length adjusters. Surface of simulator on side of model is coated with replaceable rough plate at preset degree of roughness. Fourth dynamometer is used for interconnecting parts of model and is with longitudinal, travel and vertical force sensors, as well as with trimming, heeling and drifting moment sensors. EFFECT: possibility of making tests more realistic; enhanced efficiency in measuring forces and moments arising in breaking ice on model as a whole and on its near-bottom portion and sea bottom. 1 dwg
