FIELD: methods and devices for deposition of coatings on surface of band-shaped blanks from nonferrous metals and steel with metal coating. SUBSTANCE: method includes passing of blank with no change of direction of movement through vessel containing molten material of coating and having passage channel under surface of molten bath. Set up in this passage channel is travelling electromagnetic field in coating material by induction currents producing electromagnetic force for holding coating material. Near the vessels, in the direction opposite to travelling field, constant field of direct or alternating current is set up which suppresses motion in coating material to kill melt in passage channel (and also in vessel) and to provided for high degree of balance of hydrostatic and electromagnetic forces. For this purpose, installed above induction coils, on both sides of passage channel is one more ferromagnetic core provided with windings parallel to windings of induction coil and connected to source of direct or alternating current.
