FIELD: nondestructive methods for drying lumber with microwave energy. SUBSTANCE: microwave power absorbed in the course of drying is controlled by alternately withdrawing lumber from or approaching it to highest-intensity zone while revolving lumber about chamber axis and evenly distributing it throughout chamber length along axis of revolution and throughout its width over planes crossing axis of revolution. EFFECT: reduced hardware cost; improved drying intensity. 1 dwg
