FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: activated carbon is produced from crude charcoal. Method involves thermic treatment of charcoal to 800-850 C without air at temperature rate increase 40-50 degrees/min and activation with steam at ratio crude charcoal to steam = 1:(5-8). Obtained micropores have radius 0.85-1.0 nm and they can be used for treatment of solutions of Congo red, caproic acid, albumin that are removed difficultly. Also, activated carbon can be used for removal high-molecular organic compounds from an aqueous media and their treatment. EFFECT: improved method of producing, enhanced effectiveness of the end product.
