FIELD: plasma engineering. SUBSTANCE: plant has two high-voltage electrodes, auxiliary- arc power supply, pulse-current generator, dielectric reflecting wall, and blowout coil; negative electrode is movable structure rigidly coupled with electromagnet armature whose coil is inserted between mentioned electrode and negative pole of auxiliary-arc power supply; mentioned coil is connected to electrode by means of flexible conductor. Arc stretching takes place due to setting electrodes apart by means of electromagnet. In the process, arc reference points are securely arranged at ends of electrodes and vapor jet of cathode flows over auxiliary-arc column and additionally stabilizes its electrical and physical characteristics. As soon as auxiliary arc attains desired parameters, blowout coil power supply is started, and high-voltage discharge is initiated between electrodes. Blowout coil is placed directly behind reflecting wall with the result that plasmoid is attracted to cold reflecting wall and as if rolls out over its surface into thin film. In the process, screening action of plasma particles greatly reduces and radiating surface increases. EFFECT: improved radiation intensity. 1 dwg
