FIELD: electrical engineering, applicable in starterless devices for firing of discharge lamps in which DC power is inverted to AC power with the aid of a high-frequency inverter. SUBSTANCE: the device uses series-connected supply-line filter, rectifier, inverter, r.f. transformer without a core and a discharge lamp. The transformer primary is located inside the auxiliary secondary and its coiling diameter is less than the auxiliary secondary coiling diameter.
