FIELD: transport engineering; passive safety facilities; making of other strong reservoirs made of cloth from separate pieces connected by stitch seams, such as sacks, bags. SUBSTANCE: in making of air bags separate pieces of cloth are connected by several overlapped stitch seams. Two seams are made when connecting the pieces. First seam is sewn by straight stitch over which second zigzag stitch is made. Connection can be made so that first straight stitch seam is used as middle line for second zigzag seam. Pitch of second seam. First and second seams can be made by contrast color threads. EFFECT: increased strength of seam and reduced labour input in making of safety air bag, reduced requirements for thread. 4 cl, 3 dwg
