FIELD: mechanical engineering; storage and transportation of loose materials. SUBSTANCE: hopper housing consists of two parts connected over perimeter and provided with at least one slot for passing working member secured on chain for displacement along perimeter of working member. Gates installed inside housing are mechanically coupled with its wall and are brought closer to each other towards center of housing. One of blades of working member is made in form of scythe and the other, in form of knife with cutting edge forming clearance relative to bottom. Knife is provided with perpendicular knife rack with teeth secured from side of bottom. Rack teeth are tilted in direction opposite to direction of movement of working member to provide sliding cutting. Pitch of teeth depends on technical requirements. Working member has plate one side of which is connected to knife and the other freely engages with scythe. EFFECT: reduced power consumption. 8 dwg
