FIELD: manufacture of pumps; compensation of flow rate fluctuations in suction and delivery passages of variable-capacity and constant-capacity positive-displacement pumps at any number of working chambers. SUBSTANCE: any change in instantaneous characteristic displacement of pump 1 gives rise to change in synchronism in instantaneous characteristic displacement of hydraulic machine 5 due to availability of synchronizing coupling 9 between drive shaft 8 of hydraulic machine 5 and drive shaft 10 of pump 1. Magnitude of instantaneous characteristic displacement of hydraulic machine 5 relative to each of passages 2 and 3 of pump 1 at each angle of turn of drive shaft 10 of pump 1 and at all possible positions of adjusting member 12 of pump 1 changes at permissible error in proportion to difference between maximum and present instantaneous characteristic displacements of pump 1 which is ensured due to respective design of hydraulic machine 5 on basis of calculation results. Pulsating flow of liquid formed in inlet and outlet passages 6 and 7 of hydraulic machine 5 has correcting rate whose magnitude relative to suction and delivery passages 2 and 3 of pump 1 is equal at each moment of time to difference between rated values of maximum and present instantaneous flow rates of pump 1 (at each angle of turn of drive shaft 10 of pump 1). As a result, fluctuations of flow caused by poor kinematics of pumping unit of pump 1 reduce at section of suction passage 2 of pump 1 as far as point of connection of inlet main 6 of hydraulic machine 5 of device 4 and at section of delivery passage 3 of pump 1 after point of connection of outlet passage 7 of hydraulic machine 5 to preset permissible level at required magnitude of corrected flow rate of pumping unit at level of maximum instantaneous flow rate of pump 1.
