SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydraulic presses. Hydraulic drive of press moving beam comprises working and return hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic control valves of hydraulic cylinders, head and drain hydraulic lines. Filling device of working space of operating hydraulic cylinders is provided in the press at performance of idle run of traverse approach, made up in the form of hydrodynamic torque converter. Discharge channel of hydraulic transformer is connected with working spaces of operating hydraulic cylinders from the side of its working space with massive specific geometrical size by the first additional two-line two-position controlled valve. Discharge channel is connected to high pressure hydraulic line from the side of working space of hydraulic transformer with smaller specific geometrical size by the second additional two-line two-position controlled valve. Other channels are connected with hydraulic tank. Rotary or reciprocating hydraulic transformer can be used.

EFFECT: as a result provision of design simplification of hydraulic drive is provided.
