FIELD: utilization of solid fuel from iron-rich pellets; may be used at thermal power stations and power-and-heating plants fro economic generation of ecologically clean energy. SUBSTANCE: iron-rich pellets containing at least 80 wt.% of metallic iron are placed into closed space to fill 3/4 of its volume. Pressure in closed space is built up in the amount of at least 1 MPa. Iron-rich pellets are subjected in closed space to heat treatment with air stream heated up to 260-400 C to heat pellets to temperature of 1200-1400 C. Then, iron-rich pellets are burnt with blowing of oxygen stream. EFFECT: increased burning duration by an order of magnitude, ecologically clean and highly efficient process due to wasteless process cycle.
