FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to iron industry, particularly to production of iron ore pellets. Charge is pelletised with production of damp conditioned pellets. A layer of pellets is laid on a conveyor belt installed in a heat insulated furnace. Pallets are partially dried with air in working space of the furnace. Air is supplied in form of jets directed to the layer of pellets and in form of a flow pressurised with a ventilator installed at the output of the furnace. Exhaust air is sucked with a smoke exhaust mounted at the input of the furnace. Finish heat treatment is carried out on a fire grate of a kiln by sucking smoke fumes through a layer. Exhaust gases are removed through a smoke duct equipped with a recuperating heat exchanger designed for heating air supplied into the heat insulated furnace for drying damp pellets. Also air supplied for damp pellets partial drying is additionally heated when fuel is burned at rate of consumption V 0.1-2.5 m3 per ton of pellets in a fore chamber installed at the output of the furnace; part of air charged with the ventilator at volume (10-50) V is supplied into generated combustion products.
EFFECT: facilitating increased efficiency of kiln.
