FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, namely production of commercial vanadium cast iron and production of conversion cast iron. SUBSTANCE: cast comprising carbon, silicium, manganese, vanadium, titanium, copper, nickel, cobalt, chromium, aluminium and ferrum additionally comprises phosphorous, sulfur, gallium and hafnium. Content of these components, mas.% is as follows: carbon, 3.0-4.8; silicium, 0.02-0.8; manganese, 0.01-1.5; vanadium, 0.03-1.0; titanium, 0.02-0.6; phosphorous, 0.015-0.10; sulfur, 0.010-0.05; copper, 0.01-0.12; nickel, 0.02-0.3; cobalt, 0.01-0.14; chromium, 0.02-0.9; aluminium, 0.03-0.15; gallium, 0.0001-0.0003; hafnium, 0.0001-0.004; ferrum, the balance. When desired cast iron is used as conversion one then fuel expense and expense for iron-ore portion of charge are decreased by 6-9 %, degree of conversion of vanadium into slag is increased by 1.1-1.5 %, degree of extraction of chromium and titanium is increased by 1-2 %; wear resistance of construction steel and cast iron is increased by 4-25 %. EFFECT: improved quality of desired product. 1 tbl
