FIELD: oil and gas industry, petroleum refining industry. SUBSTANCE: given method includes measurement of hydrostatic pressures P1 and P2 by transmitters installed at level of water and oil levels with subsequent calculation of oil mass by dependence Moil= C0+C1P2-C2P1. Correction of measured pressures P1 and P2 depending on change of densities of water and oil is carried out by calculation formulas. Method makes it possible to exclude measurement error caused by change of densities of water and oil. EFFECT: improved accuracy of method. 4 dwg
