FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves recording electrocardiogram and its first derivative. Left ventricle activation speed is calculated as mean of quotient of division of R and S peaks amplitudes in six outlet channels reflecting electric activity of the heart, right ventricle, the first and the second derivatives of electrocardiogram to their amplitude in conventional electrocardiogram. The value falling below 1.7, pulmonary hypertension is diagnosed. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of diagnosis. 1 tbl
