METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING LATENT CARDIAC INSUFFICIENCY IN PATIENTS HAVING PULMONARY DISEASES Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out two-dimensional echocardiographic examination and determining left ventricle ejaculation fraction. The echocardiographic examination is accompanied with rhythmogram recording. The rhythmogram parameters like mode M0, mode amplitude AM0, variation spread ΔX, tension index TI are determined. Compensation capacity coefficient of the cardiac left ventricle is calculated from formula of L(conditional units)= HBR • TI / EF • 100, where HBR is the heart beat rate in strokes/min HBR=60/M0, TI (conditional units)=AM0/M0 • ΔX, EF is the mean value of the left ventricle ejaculation fraction in % and 100 is the constant coefficient. The value of L = 4.6±0.9 conditional units, latent cardiac insufficiency is to be diagnosed for patients having pulmonary diseases. L = 10.8±0.5 conditional units, latent cardiac insufficiency is to be diagnosed for patients having pulmonary tuberculosis. L = 24.4±5.2 conditional units, latent cardiac insufficiency is to be diagnosed for patients having pulmonary tuberculosis with generalized processes. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of diagnosis; wide range of applications.
