METHOD OF CLEANING INNER SURFACES OF RAILWAY HOPPER CARS FROM REMNANTS OF APATITE AND MINERAL FERTILIZERS Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport; chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: method comes to treatment of inner surfaces of railway hopper cars by shot blasting, with shot size of 0.008-0.01 m in centrifugal force field at a speed of 30-70 m/s for cleaning the cars from flaky deposits of apatite and mineral fertilizers. Shot blasting flow is delivered at different angles to surface at continuous displacement of treatment zone in vertical direction from lower portion of car to its top and simultaneously in horizontal plane and plane developed by 3-45 degrees relative to surface under treatment at density of shot flow within 10 and 30 kg/m², and supplied power of 20-32 kW.
