TANK Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: transportation of liquids. SUBSTANCE: tank has body, charging hatch and draining device. The latter consists of housing with heating shroud and main shutoff which includes rod whose upper end is furnished with hinged handwheel and lower end is turned into post. Rod is connected with valve from below. Valve has upper and lower blades, rubber ring secured by pressure ring and studs and additional shutoff which has cover with rubber sealing ring secured on cover by ring and bolts. Cover is connected to housing end piece by screw. Support for screw made in form of hinged yoke suspended from shafts secured on housing end piece. Cover is provided with stop nut with handle. Main shutoff of draining device is furnished with pivot and thrust cup to improved reliability of tank in operation. Valve has through hole in which pivot is fitted and rigidly connected. Thrust cup is rigidly coupled with rod. Pivot installed in cup is connected with the latter by bolts. Additional shutoff of draining device has yokes rigidly connected with cover. Hinged yoke is passed through yokes of shutoff. Protective coating is applied to contacting surfaces of upper and lower blades and pivot. Current conducting material, such as copper, is used as protective coating. Thickness of coating layer is 1-1.5 mm. EFFECT: improved reliability in service. 2 cl, 4 dwg
