FIELD: manufacture of induction linings. SUBSTANCE: refractory compound comprises molten materials, wt. %: alumomagnesium spinel, 65-75; 8 spinel corundum material with crystal sizes of 10 mcm, 25-38; and composition comprises, wt. %: alumomagnesium spinel, 90-98; and corundum, 2-10. Addition of finely crystalline spinel-corundum material to refractory compound as finely ground constituent makes it possible to achieve high physical and ceramic properties, and service properties of the lining.
