FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines. SUBSTANCE: cylinder head has combustion chamber connected with intake and exhaust channels brought out to one side of head. Intake channel has inlet section and outlet section made in form of irregular screw. Intake channel on outlet section is turned through 90 degrees in vertical plane and through 180 degrees in horizontal plane around intake valve axis. Exhaust channel has outlet section and inlet section made in form of irregular screw. Inlet section of exhaust channel is turned through 90 degrees in vertical plane and through 180 degrees in horizontal plane around axis of exhaust valve. Outlet section of intake channel and inlet section of exhaust channel are smoothly inscribed into above-chamber spaces, each made in form of cylinder limited by hemisphere from top. Channels have constant hydraulic diameter along their length. Cross- sections of channels are of Cassinian oval shape. EFFECT: improved power and economy characteristics of engine. 5 cl, 7 dwg
