FIELD: construction. SUBSTANCE: socket joint for example for concrete pipes has packing clamped rigidly in socket. Packing has the only passing in circular direction of pipe on both sides relative to hollow axis. Ribs are so apced in axial direction of pipe that when sharpened end of pipe is inserted into socket, ribs are shifted with respect to one another so that ribs of one of packing sides enter spaces between ribs of other side of packing.
