FIELD: mechanical engineering; materials handling facilities. SUBSTANCE: frame of load-lifting machine has upper and lower sheets 1 and 2, respectively, with shells 3 and 4 installed concentrically in between. Diaphragms 5 are installed independently between shells. Pair of short diaphragms 6 and 7, butt-joined in length, is placed between two adjacent diaphragms 5. Proposed method of manufacture comes to the following: first one short diaphragm 6 is welded to frame members and then other short diaphragm 7 is welded to short diaphragm 6 and diaphragm 7 is welded to frame members. Method provides quality assembling of frame of increased strength. EFFECT: improved quality of frame, reduced labour input. 3 cl, 4 dwg
