METHOD OF RISING TOWER OF TOWER CRANE Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC B66C23/28 

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: during rising tower of crane risen section of tower in its inclined position is brought into opening of crane gantry; further risen section is set in opening of crane gantry in vertical position, is lifted and linked with lower section of tower located above risen section. Upon performed operations the tower together with the section is moved out of the gantry till clearing the opening of the gantry. At the beginning of assembly the upper part of the risen section is brought into the opening of the gantry and the risen section is suspended on the crane gantry on a suspension in the specified inclined position in the point of suspending located above the opening of the gantry in its upper part. Further the risen section is installed in a vertical position by means of its turn around the said point of suspending, whereupon the risen section is disconnected from the suspension, is lifted and linked with the lower section of the tower. During execution of risen section installation into a vertical position its rotation from an inclined position is carried out by means of drawing the lower end of the section to the gantry with, for example a flexible rod. The risen section is suspended to an external side of the upper part of the gantry.

EFFECT: simplification of assembly and reduced labour intensiveness of tower rising.
