FIELD: mechanical engineering; material handling facilities. SUBSTANCE: tower crane has tower installed on support in form of running truck secured on rail track rigidly coupled with base of construction site. Tower is connected with building by additional supports in form of uprights rigidly secured on building. Upper ends of uprights are hinge connected with tie-rods whose other ends are hinge-coupled with tower. Lower ends of uprights are rigidly connected with carrying members of buildings. Uprights can be connected to each other by additional tie-rods. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities; possibility of using the crane for erecting very high buildings and complex-shape constructions. 3 cl, 2 dwg
